Corvette calipers
Corvette calipers
Will the red Z06 calipers bolt on and work with the stock size rotor on a '94. I can't really afford to do the whole conversion right now but I am going to do brakes soon and I want something that looks a little better. I was thinking of buying a set of used calipers and having them powder coated but if the corvette calipers will work I think that would be easier.
Thanks for the help

No, Z06 calipers will not work with our stock rotors. Z06 calipers are fairly cheap but the whole conversion required to run them gets pretty expensive, around $800 I believe.
You need Z06 calipers, Z06 rotors and a special adapter braket to be able to mount those calipers to your spindles. I think you may even need LS1 spindles. I looked into it, it gets pricey.
I think I'll stick to an LS1 brake upgrade with aftermarket rotors when I do mine.

Get the LS1 upgre, it's more than enough for most uses (even roadcourse use w/ race pads). I did the LS1 upgrade earlier this year, and am very happy with it. Braking on track w/ Carbotech XPs stops better than my Z06 did. If you decide you need even more braking power, you can get the adaptors from LGMotorsports to allow C5 rotor use for $250. I'll proabably do this, but just so I can have a little extra mass for repeated brake use on track.
