Chromemoly Tubular SFC's still flexing like crazy...

I had a set of BMR Chromemoly Tubular SFC's installed last summer. I was MORE then impressed with their performance and how they improved the car's attitude..

A year later, I have gotten more than used to the 'new' performance.. (also installed new trans + clutch, Prokit and SLP Bilstiens, BMR Chromemoly PHB, LCA RLB's, yeah, it took a month or two to get used to.)

I've made a habit to keep my hand on the T-top and A pillar joint and to use my thumb on the gap to monitor frame flex, when my window is down that is.... THis car still flexes like crazy, how normal is that for those higher end Tubular SFC's?? I'd say almost a 1/8" of flex there.

I'm thinking of converting to DD's...

THanx y'all..

I think you'd need a full steel cage, and even THEN, the car is probably still going to flex some?!

My car is the same way, and I don't think you'll ever get rid of it completely ... but that's just my $.02 ... not a scientific answer, for sure!

Do you have 3-point or 2-point SFCs?

Which brand, 2- or 3-point and are they welded or bolt-ons that your friend has?

FWIW, I only have 2-point SFC's as well, and they're only bolted in, not welded ... 3-point, and welded would probably make a fair difference?

My PAF CM tubular SFC's saved my car last weekend. While pulling the car off the trailer in a tight parking area at the track one of the front tires flipped a ramp off and the suspension dropped, but it could have been much worse...

It was neat to see the SFC's work, with the rear tires on the ground and 1 front supported by a ramp...
