Can ABS be disabled by tuning?

Can ABS be disabled by tuning?

I know that there are kits offered by SJM manufacturing to file 13 the ABS module under the hood, but can the pcm be tuned to disable the in dash ABS light?

i think i read that someone posted that the guy from pcmforless.com said that the abs system had its own computer.

i havent seen anything in lt1 edit or tuner cat to disable it.

The best way is to pull it out all together. It took me about 3hours (Never used a flare device) and 15 bucks in parts. There is so much more room now, and braking is way better.

did you use a proportioning valve?

Yes, but I did not have to mess with it at all. It was perfect from the factory. Jegs sells them for 35 buck forgot to add that in on ther price.

the air bag and the abs system use their own computer locating by the top of the clutch / brake pedals
