C5 brake ?

I am installing C5 front/LT1 rear disk setup in my 68 camaro. I am going to use a 4th gen style booster in the installation. I was wondering if you can use either the lt1 or ls1 style master cylinder. Any pro's/cons for which one to use. Any info would be appreciated.

Re: C5 brake ?

I used to have a 69 Camaro with LS1 brakes up front and 70s TA WS6 brakes in the rear. I used a master cylinder form a 80s S-10 with a 3rd gen brake booster and an adjustable proportioning valve. It stopped awsome but was a bit overboosted for my likes.

What you want to do should work fine. Either the LT1 or LS1 master cylinder should work fine as they are sized well for the LS1 / LT1 combo. But since your starting from scratch, get the LS1 unit. Also make sure you use an adjustable proportioning valve. You won't even need the stock valve at all.
