Bumpstop removal?

What kind of problems would should I expect if I remove my bumpstops? I noticed that if I jack the rear of the car up by the frame, that the wheel just barely catches the bumpstop. I've heard that they really don't do much of anything unless you're off-roading.

I didn't say that it almost catches. I said that it does catch. I don't want that.

so your suspension is bottoming out?
but only when you jack it this certain way? if your not hitting on the street I would jsut leave it, and if you are hitting on the street I would jsut trim it so its not a big.
