Broken Emergency Brake Cable (Front)

So I live in the Rust-o-Belt in Missouri and my front emergency brake cable broke. (From the handle to the divide)

Does anyone have any tips/hints/tricks??

I'm doing it tommorow sometime I suppose.

lol i rigged it... got some extra 1/8" wire, and some fasteners, works liek a charm.. if it breaks again though im goign to have to replace the cable =-\
