Brakes are [irritating me]
My brakes are squeeling and stuff all the time, and its annoying the crap out of me. I had some Satisfied Performance Ceramic pads on originally and they didnt make any noise for months, but then all of a sudden they started squeeking so i got annoyed and got some 'moly' grease from my friend who works up at an Acura dealership and he says that they use the stuff to stop brakes squeeking. So i tried it, put the crap on anything i could reach and that would contact something else. DIDNT work at all. SO i bought new pads, I got some Bendix pads, and threw that moly all over the pads and crap again, and there is NO DIFFERENCE. Does anyone have any advice or something? I have Powerslot II rotors if that makes a difference.
It's cheap - like .99 cents a little sealed pack. Just put it on the back side of the pad where it hits the piston, and on the caliper side where the pad sits against it.
As it heats up & dries, it kind of acts as a glue, and prevents squeals.
As cheap as it is , it is worth a shot.

Re: Brakes are [irritating me]
then wut is it that your talking about for 99 cents??? because the stuff that he is referring to is exellent stuff and cost $12 for a 4 ounce tude...we use it at the dealer i work at on every brake job...so i don't know what could be mush better then high temp grease?
It's an anti squeal compound.

It acts like a glue to keep the pad attached to the caliper, and therefore off the rotor except as needed.
No squeals, in theory.
Where could you actually grease a pad, other than on it's slide areas ?
That's what kind of threw me.
I might be willing to trade some squeal for less brake dust - these Auto Zone lifetime warranty pads work well, but dust like a **** !
The GM's never dusted much that I could see , but were $ 176.00 a set for fronts.
Ummm, no.
