brake question?

well, i just replaced my rear brake pads and rotors. the right side is fine, but the left is squeaking and makes a loud noise when i turn left pretty hard.

it seems like the outer(closed to the outside of the car) is not completely compressed on the rotor(i just fixed that). the brake pad didn't go into the spot easily when i installed the outer one.

could it be that the rotor and pad needs to wear itself down to even, before it stops or should i be looking at other problems. the car stops fine, but it's just extremely annoying.

what ways can i trouble shoot and fix the problem?

The rotor might need turning, or the piston is sticking. Depending on the pad manufatcurer, Ive seen them have "tangs" that are a tad to big and need to be ground a little, before they seat right. But this has only happened to me when I used cheapie pads in the past. I'd remove the caliper, then have the roter checked. I'd also make sure the pads are seated correctly and the piston travel is ok.
