brake line help

When I pulled my engine out of the car, and was disconnecting the brake lines from the ABS unit, one of the nuts would not come off.
I finally got it off, but not after it was stripped beyond round.

now, I was told I can just hack the edge off the brake line so the nut comes off, buy a new nut, and there is a tool that can flatten the end of the brake line the way it comes stock that keeps the nut from coming off......but I dont know what the tool is called, or where to get it.
or the new nut, for that matter.

Help please?

thanks!!

the parts places around here are Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts, and Napa.....and they all have equally dumb people working there.......

There is a harbor freight, do you think they would have the tool, or just a car place?

This kit will work perfectly for what you're wanting to do:

The flaring tool is almost identical to the one that was included in my SJM ABS delete kit.

alright....new problem.

I cant find the nut anywhere. It appears to be metric, and all the places around ehre only have standard. The threading is real close to 3/8 it seems.
Any idea on where to find one if I need to order one?

There are tons of cars with metric stuff on them. Hard to believe you cannot find what you need. The dealer should have it.

any auto parts place has them....ask if you can search through the bins to find what you need. Metric is pretty basic as far as size not sure exactly what they are

something like 4.75, 6, 10 MM
