Yes
Usually, but also depends on material
chromoly is a type of steel, not a bushing material
I went with the tubulars from BMR made from chromoly steel. Chromoly is stronger and lighter than conventional steel. (I was wanting a little less unsprung weight).
As far as the bushings, injuneer had a good write up on this maybe a month or 2 ago. There is a potential for binding when the suspension travels (bc of the panhard bar pusing the LCA's over a bit). I haven't had this problem. I am running poly/rubber bushings. They reccomend spherical ends though.
Re: Boxed or Tubular Arms...Bushings???
Well what I meant by write up was that he responded to someone that had a similiar question and he answered it well, so try a search, or just use what I suggested.

In general, bushings:
- Rubber is the quietest but offers the least control
- Poly offers less flex but prevents full-motion over time.
- Heim joints (aka rod-ends or spherical joints) offer the best performance, but you should get high quality QA1 with teflon liners to minimize noise and extend life. Expect to change them every couple of years. Regular inspection is recommended.
Some vendors offer a mixed LCA, with rubber/poly or poly/heim on the frame/axle ends. The usually offer the softer material on the frame side to minimize noise.
I think it would be more cost-effective to box in your stock control arms if you think they are flexing - unless you want heim joints in which case you'll need new arms.
Switching from Hotchkis boxed LCA's with poly bushings back to the stock arms with rubber bushings gave me better rear-end control while cornering.
Hope that helps...
