Bilstein's are better shocks than Tokico's, if for no other reason the warranty. Bilstein is easy to deal with, Tokico makes things so hard that most folks give up, and I will not warranty them for people anymore. It's Tokico's warranty, not mine, and all the other companies I deal with handle issues directly.

As for handling on stock springs, well suffice to say the shocks are the major F-up on the suspension here, and they make or break a suspension. Are Koni's superior handling shocks vs. Bilstein HD's. Absolutely. HD's are excellent quality stock replacments that fix the glaring issues of DeCarbon's, nothing more--though to some that makes them awesome, but that's due to just how crappy the OEM shocks were... Any improvement is a HUGE improvement.

They can be.... depends on what you want from the car. I can tell you I've never had anyone who's switched from Bilsteins to Koni's regret doing it.

Listen to Sam, he knows his s^it. He spent almost an hour on the phone educating me...actually discouraged me from purchasing anything for my '96 Z until after my first road race at LimeRock Park last year. You should call him and tell him your goals...he's brutally honest and will not steer you wrong! I'm now running Strano springs, swaybars and Koni SA shocks and what a difference. Thanks for all your help Sam!
