Bent Tie Rod??

Is it possible to bend a tie rod from a car being pulled out of a ditch. The top of the front driver side tire points outward away from the car. Any other parts that might be borken.

Inexperienced or lazy tow truck operators could easily bend a tie rod by hooking to it to pull a vehicle. But the most obvious cause of the bent part is likely falling into the ditch in the first place. If you say the top of the tire is out (positive camber) then it's probably not a bent tie-rod but more likely a bent lower control arm.

Either way, it's going to need a good going over.

Ok thanks i'll let my friend know. When he pulled the car out of the ditch he pulled it out by the tires. Just wondering if that is the proper way to pull a car out of a ditch.
