Bad torque arm causing "clunk"?

I have a weird clunk sound. When I'm slowing down for a stop, and the tranny downshifts from 2nd to 1st, a hear a clunk sound. I know it isn't the trans mount since it's polyurethane and I just had it checked out today, everything was tight. Could a bad torque arm bushings, loose bolt, cracked torque arm be causing this clunk?

It would be pretty easy to check by eye to see if its a torque arm problem... Or if you have a couple extra bucks, just buy some poly TA mounts, install those and rule out that as a problem...

A bad TA bushing could do it but its probably your U joints that need replaced.
