Arrow axle housing bent.. wtf?

i recently did a bulk install, slp level one package, bling bling rotors, pads, stb, and i was replacing an axle i thought was bent...

when i bought the car, the passenger rear wheel would wobble a bit.. just enough to leave squiggely marks when i roast em.. i had a bent axle on my 85 camaro from sliding into a curb, and thought it was an easy fix..

i went to install the new axle and looked throught the axle housing with both axles out... looking straight thru, i could only see about 25% of the opening on the other side.. thats quite a bend if you ask me.. and i am surprised as hell that i can even drive the car like this.. i tried putting the replacement axle in and couldnt... it turns out the original axle splines got mangled enough to work..

so how hard did the guy that had the car before me smack something? i have heard of other f-bodies bending axles, but i have never heard of the housing getting bent...
