A-Arm Removal

Hey guys, trying to take the a-arms out so I can have new ball joints pressed in and the front bolt will not come out. I've got it loose, but I can't pull the damn thing out because it keeps contacting the rack and pinion in the boot area. Any suggestions? Helms doesn't make any mention of this. It seems like the thing is just supposed to slide out.

Turn the steering wheel as far as you can to the side away from the control arm you are removing and then angle the tie rod up or down to get the clearance you need.

Crawling around in the dirt trying to do that must have been fun.

Well, I have proven how one can stop using their brain when you get caught up in something.
