Anyone using the S&W Racecars roll bar?

I was looking at their 8 point bar and was wondering how the fit was. Did you have to do any bending?

I havent seen one, but I know around here its almost always cheaper to get a custom bar made then the order one and have it installed.
This way the fit is perfect every time too. So you might want to phone a few places and see how the prices compair.

You might want to check out wolfe race craft. I just installed one of their bars with the jig notched option and other than some trimming of the main hoop by the floor it was a hold and weld proposition. The fit is excellent for a car still running the interior. I'm more than impressed. If you plan on doing the work yourself, you can't get anything close in fit or quality for the price.

I am familar with Wolf, and know local prices for fabrication. I am looking at the S&W because of cost. I can install the bar myself, but if theres alot of extra work to get it to fit it may not be worth it. I would like to hear from people who have installed it.

Re: Anyone using the S&W Racecars roll bar?

i put a s&w 8 point in my car the weld in one it was alot of work and the wayt i installed mine, to keep driveability, it was alot of trimming the hoop however did not need any trimming and by the time i ordered the swing outs the price was not too far off from a bolt in bar
if i was to do it again i would do a bolt in bar and just weld it together
