Anybody sell rear spring ONLY, lowering kits

I have been checking out the message board for a while but never registered becouse I could usually find an answer that I needed without having to ask.

However, I want to lower the rear of my 94Z28 which has completely factory suspension. Is there anybody that sells JUST the rear springs for lowering the back of my car about 3/4" to 1". I just can't justify paying for 4 springs when I ony want and need the back ones.

One more ?, will I need an adjustable panhard bar?

Keep in mind this is not a drag car, but yet a daily driver (sort of )eventhough I have a 91 accord to help on the gas bill.

Thanks for any advise in advance.

BMR sells their springs as front only, rear only, or all 4 corners. Checkout our supporting vendor, Thunder Racing:

Yes, you'll also need an adjustable PHR, since you'll need to re-center your rear end after you've lowered it. By the way, why are you only lowering the rear? May be it's just me, but I have stock springs all the way around and it "appears" that the rear is lower than the front.

"Thanks for the info on the springs."

I have always looked at my car as a wedge. Unlike the TA's where the rear quarter panel has a downward slope at the rear, the Z looks like it just keeps rising until the back of the car just ends. Plus I have installed a 98-02 SS style rear spoiler which has the upward lip and that makes the rear of the car look even higher.
So now you know , even if it does not make sence .

Thanks again for the info.

One more ?.
How do you adjust the adjustable panhard bar ( by measuring from a certain point from each side of the car, or what), or do I just get an alignment shop to do a 4 wheel alignment on the car?
I know nothing about suspension stuff !!!

I would think for a srteet car, 125lb or 150lb springs would be just about right, depending upon how much stereo gear you are lugging around ...

I have 5 channel amp and MTX 10" sub that sits to the side so I can still remove my T-tops.
Do you have or know anyone with these springs?

Also I am assuming that any of these springs will work for the Z since you gave me a direct link to THIS page. What are the factory springs rated at (lbs) (if you know)?
Thanks for your help!

Just a thought, but if you just want to drop the rear a little, you might try pulling the spring isolators out and wraping the top of the spring with a peice of hose to keep it from squeaking.. It would be practically free except for the labor. It will only drop the rear about a half inch and probably wouldn't throw the rear off center enough to force you to get an adjustable pan hard bar... If you don't like the way it looks, you can always get lowering springs...
Good luck!

Good idea, what size hose and length do people use to do this project?
Don't want to get in the middle of a project, then have to go get parts (if I don't need to).

Thanks, cheaper is better, sometimes.

I haven't done this myself, but I've read about people using garden hose and heater hose... I would think that 5/8" or 3/4" would work...

I have them on my race car ...

Did I miss something? Are trying to raise the rear or lower the car?

If you are trying to raise it, you might look at shims ...
http://www.pitstopusa.com/SearchResu...=spring%20shim

1/8" and 3/16" thicknesses ... stack'em till you get the ride height you want ...

These I haven't used ...
