Adjustable

UMI Performance has Adjustable and non Adjustable panhard bars for third gens, and I was wondering if you actually need the adjustable bar and if it is worth the extra $30?

Well, if you need it, then it's worth the extra $30

Why are to buying a PHR? To recenter the rear after lowering? If that's the reason, you'll probably want the adjustable.

Re: Adjustable

I will eventually be lowering but I am just looknig into the different products ou tthere and putting a list together of what I want to get, I will probably end up buying everythign in segments so I'm going to try and figure out what I need and when, like if I do lowering spirngs and shocks, I might need a panhard, or if I do a steering brace I might aswell get front and rear sways while I am doing the braces and such.

I know alot of people use their adjustable suspension parts for the strip and such but is it needed as much for street, I'm amsuming it helps your launchs by controllin ghtem and squaring everything up so it is probaly worth the $30 to be able to adjust it.

Re: Adjustable

You don't need to buy parts just to have them. You need to determine your goals with the car, and then you need to determine if there are deficiencies to be remedied with new parts.

Your right I don't need to buy parts just to have them, but I still will . My goals are just blow my money on my car instead of junk food so yah. Upgrading anything works for me.

Re: Adjustable

are you running stock or aftermarket wheels?
if you're running any type of wider wheel/tire combo, you might run into rubbing issues after lowering
and...if you are using stock wheels, when you lower it, it'll look like 1 wheel sticks slightly out and one slightly in (as in body is tilted toward one side)
now, an adjustable can take care of that, a non-adj won't
so if you're running aftermarket wheels (or widened stock ones) or are visually picky, then get the adjustable
good choice with the "blow money on the car, not on junk food"
you can get more performance and save weight (i.e. you) at the same time

Re: Adjustable

With future plans of lowering the car, get the adj. PHB. I got a non-adj. torque arm and am currently kicking myself in the butt 'cause now I want the adjustability. So planning ahead will save you money in the long run.

Re: Adjustable

def go with the adjustability, if you lower the car, depending on how low most likely you are going to need it and use it. Yes there are cases where some have lowered and the rear stayed center, but most do not. UMI is a good choice as well.
