ABS not working

I have searched on this but can't seem to find what i need.
The ABS INOP light is on.
The ABS does not work.
The thrid break light does not work.
I have changed bulbs and sockets.

Would the third light not working make the abs system not to work???? Or does the ABS system have something wrong with it?

Thanks,
Kevin

The third brake light will kill the ABS

The 3rd brake light not functioning will also disable the cruise control. Time to buzz the wiring.

OBDI is yellow wiring. OBDII is light blue wiring. However, start by checking for ground on the black wire going to the 3rd brake light socket. Then check for the presence of power when you hit the brake pedal.

I used a volt meter after i replaced the sockets and they had current without the brake pressed. When the break pressed the current increaced. So i guess that means a bad ground right?

if it isnt your 3rd brake light, check your ABS motor pack

get it hooked up to a diagnostic machine or something

i had the same problem and my abs motor pack went bad
