Question ABS INOP and LOW TRAC light

Hey Gang,
I did a search for this but didn't find any real good answers, so I was wondering if anyone has any insight on this.
Once in awhile(at least once or twice everytime I drive the car) when I get on the brakes, my LOW TRAC light comes on and it feels like I'm letting off the brakes, it doesn't pulsate or anything, just feels like I'm letting off which gets kinda scary coming up behind traffic at a stoplight! the ABS INOP light usually comes on after that, but sometimes comes on independantly. If anyone has a good idea what this is I would love to hear it.
Thank-you in advance,

You might have a bad/malfunctioning wheel speed sensor. Go to a dealer and have them scan the computer - there will probably be a fault code registered that will tell you what the problem is... or where to start looking at least.

Re: ABS INOP and LOW TRAC light

As a possible quick fix, take off the front wheels and disconnect ABS sensor and reconnect it a few times on each side to make sure that the contacts are clean.

I had this fixed under warranty; they said the sensor in the differential was dirty. You should be able to disconnect the electrical connector and then remove the sensor for cleaning.

I had the same symptoms as you and did what I quoted above except I bent the pins to the side just a little to ensure a good connection. Problem never came back after this
