abs fried?

Ever since my engine change w/cradle drop I have had this weird abs problem: with the parking brake on my low trac light pulses on and off and you can hear the abs clicking under the hood. It will do it key on engine off and key on engine running. When I release the parking brake the low trac light stops flashing and the abs inop light comes on.....

Well today I took it into a shop and they tried to put the Snap On scanner on it. It could not find the abs module to talk to it. Keep saying check the cable but the cable was plugged in. Shop owner was mystified - all he could conclude was that the abs module electronics were fried. Anyone got any ideas?
