Abs

What means ABS IHOP this light comes on in my car...

It's INOP, short for inoperational. It means there's something wrong with the ABS system.

It means to go the pancake house as soon as possible.


Sorry, yeah, it's an ABS system fault as already stated.

Common failures of the ABS system include burnt harnesses to the front sensors (harness plug into the whell hubs) or a dirty rear sensor (mounted in the top of the differential if your car doesn't have traction control) and dirty sensors at the rear wheels (reluctor near the brakes if you have traction control).

my inop light was on . the brakelight on my hatch was burnt out , so i put a new bulb in it and the inop light went off . i dont know if the burnt bulb had anything to do with the inop light , but the light went off and stayed off .

A third brake light burnt out and a poor ground on the RH shock tower are common and easy places to look.
