A4 vs M6 Torque arm, is there a difference?

I've done a search and did some looking but can't find the answer. I thought I remembered reading it somewhere else though, although I am not 100% positive.

I did a swap on my car and re-used the existing A4 TQ arm when I put the M6 in. Is the M6 one heavier/stronger?

Thanks for the info. I thought they were the same as well but seen somewhere someone said it was different.

I think I read the M6 arm actually comes with additional reinforcement from the factory. BUT they are both interchangeable

Did you see that on this board?? I think I saw it here as well. I hope they're interchangeable, I've been using my A4 one with my M6 for 2 years now

The A4 and M6 torque arms have different part numbers from GM. All 94-97 A4 are the same, as well as 94-97 M6, and 93 has another part number for it. I have no idea what the difference is though. I used my A4 T/A for my swap, and haven't had any problems with it.

Maybe they're not the same part #, but they're definitely interchangable! I swapped the T56 into my Z28, and never changed the Tq arm.

I have one of each...the m6 one is a little more beafy. It has only two holes in it, the auto one has three.
