This is only the fist step, but I wanted to share it anyways. We finally decided on a 10 pointe chrome moly cage, Corbeau FX1 seats, and RCI window net for the first modification. We then had the engine removed, and are refreshing it to handle 20+psi from an S88 turbo. We are also adding a 4l80e transmission, Moser 12 bolt, Big Suff 3, and various other components. Please let me know what ya'll think.

 

It looks like a monster in the making, 20+ psi of boost Very nice progress. What is involved in doing the 4L80E swap, does it require making any modifications to the tranny tunnel, or does it just require a different tranny crossmember and some PCM tuning?

 

The 4l80E conversion is too bad, but does require a new transmission crossmember.

 

What kind of power levels will the 4l80E handle?

 

We have seen people make 1,000RWHP+ through a 4L80E transmission. The customer wanted to keep overdrive so using a TH350 or TH400 was out of the question. I take that back there is the Gear Vendor set up to add overdrive to TH350 and TH400 units but the price was more then doing the 4L80E.
