95 z28 abs

My son bought a 95 Z28. The ABS light comes on after driving for a couple of minutes. Shut the car off and turn it back on and it comes on again after a short time. All this under normal driving conditions. It doesn't seem to impact brake performance (under normal driving conditions). Im hoping it's one of the three sensors. Is there a way to check the condition of the sensors without a tech1 tool? Maybe using a VOM? Any other suggestions would be welcome. THANKS!!!

For starters, examine the reluctor wheels for magnetic debris.

Re: 95 z28 abs

my light did the same thing..
didnt seem to make any differance in the brakes
the light has not come back on since i put new bearings in the rearend.
not sure if it was all the metal fileings on the senser on the differential that i cleaned.
or the fact the carrier is running smooth now.
or maybe it was the connector on the diff..

whatever it was...light is off and stayed off after that was done..
