FOr a daily driver, I wouldn't recommend any drag specific shocks. I tried that with some Koni special "D" rear shocks once, and that was the only time I ever got scared of my car. Especially at freeway speeds. You'll find yourself experiencing oversteer that could wreck the car.

You haven't mentioned price, since this greatly affects the decision as to the shocks you can buy. For price conciousness, I prefer KYB, though some people swear by Bilstein. I have Koni on the front of my '84, and Herb Adams adjustables on the rear. Guaranteed for life, I installed the Konis sixteen years ago and they are still in great shape after 100,000 miles.

If that''s the case, there is one guy I'd trust for getting some shocks and that's Dave Tuschoff at Thunder Racing. Check their website for the phone number, and use extension 302 to get ahold of Dave. He'll get you a good deal and he knows third-gen cars very very well. His third-gen Z28 does 11's at 118 MPH and looks about as street as you can get.

A car guy selling car parts to other car guys. Ahh, what a life!
