My rear end locked up on my 95 4 wheel disc z28 taking out all kind of things, pretty much the damage done makes the car not really worth repairing. I picked up a 94 v6 shell that has rotors in the front and drums in the back. The only thing the shell has is the brake lines and the brakes themselves. What will I need to do/buy to make a working brake system assuming I have the 4 wheel disc donor car to pull parts from? I know the system isn't exactly the same, I'm pretty sure the axles in the donor car are no good otherwise I'd convert the shell to 4 wheel disc and just move all the parts over.

As a side note: Correct me if I'm wrong (and I hope I am) but isn't the only way to convert a rear drum car to disc is to swap axles from a rear disc car?

 

I don't know if you can do it some other way, but switching out rear axles is going to be much easier. The rest of the work is going to be a lot harder then changing out the rear end IMO.
