4 link- torque arm delete ?

I am considering making a bracket to add upper rear control arms, which would pretty much be a four link setup. The reason behind this is budget. I can build adjustable control arms for about $40 in materials and I have steel lying around so actually less than that. I need to go adjustable anyway so I just got to thinking about this tonight.

My question is if I do this, the upper rear control arms would prevent the rear end from rolling forward, like the torque arm would right? If so, it looks like I would have the adjustment abilities of an adjustable TA for a lot less money.

Anyone ever try this/seen it? Reason why it would not be safe? I am open to all thougths. Thanks.

Josh
