1995 z28 convertible window gap

Is this possible to adjust out? Which bolts allow just the back of window to go inboard?

Hope you get an answer to this, because I have the same problem on my hardtop.

Re: 1995 z28 convertible window gap

Looking through the factory service manual, I don't see a way to adjust the window in and out at all, let alone just at the rear.

A few things I'd check:

1. Is the door closing flush with the rest of the body? There is an adjustment for that.
2. Is the door seal (thick rubber thing against which the window sits) seated correctly? It looks right to me in the pictures, but it's hard to tell for sure.
3. Is the window / window regulator securely fastened? Something bent, loose, or out of position inside the door could throw the whole window askew. In particular, the window regulator replacement procedure says to "Install the window rear guide channel nuts." The nuts should be tightened to 89 inch-pounds.

There's a good parts diagram and listing here; I believe the channel is #31 and the nuts are #30, #32, and #33.

Wonder if the problem is with the convertible top, rather than the window?
