Question Who Needs the Shorty headers and Y pipe for the 82-92 Camaro?

I've spoken to Hooker for several months about the NEW Y pipe they were making to fit thier Shorty headers for the 82-92 Camaro. According to Hooker, they will be ready in 3 weeks. I wanted to know if anyone was interested in this set up?

The Hooker competiton headers (#2460) are a set of shorty style headers that can be ordered with or without the A.I.R. fittings. The headers are a 1 5/8 x3" collector. The headers would be fully coated in&out with the Jet Hot sterling silver finish and would be $299+s&h.

The Hooker Y pipe for these headers (#16767) is a 3" diam. It runs from the headers and bolts to the exhaust system. It takes the place of the cat. The price of the Y pipe, fully coated in&out with the sterling silver finish, is $230+s&h.

According to Hooker, this is not an emission legal set up.

Let me know if there is any interest, I may be able to start a GP! The prices I listed are the normal Camaroz28.com prices.

Thanks
Chris

I might be interested if the setup could be made emissions legal.

Same here. I live in cali so I have to comply with the stupid emission laws.

Is there anyway I can get the hooker 2460 headers and then get the y-pipe from the hooker 2055 headers? Because I know the 2055 y-pipe is emmision legal.

I wish I could make the Hooker #2460 emission legal, but I can't. Hooker does sell an emission legal shorty header and Y pipe set up for the 86-90(#2055) and the 93 (#2060). If there is interest in those headers, let me know.

Thanks
Chris

I am looking around for some headers and was wondering the price of the hooker 2055's coated. If I got a gp going how much would that lower the price? Also how much for the Edelbrock 6872's coated?

I can offer the Hooker #2055 ,all fully coated in&out with the Jet Hot sterling silver finish, for $544+s&h. This would include the set of emission legal shorty style headers and the high flow Y pipe.

If you wanted to start a GP, I can offer the same set up for $519+s&h.

Thanks
Chris
