I'm in on this if it happens.... I just heard a 224/236 and I have to have one. The soundalked was awesome and I also talked to the owner about gains which were very impressive.

Here is the email response they sent me early last week:

We already offer by far the least expensive cam kit on the market (except for
the Hot Cam kit). Not to mention, with our kit you don't have to machine the
heads for the valve springs capable of handling the XE series cams. We also
have a low price guarantee, so if you can find a complete Comp Cams cam kit
(cam, springs, locks, retainers, and roller rockers) ANYWHERE for less money,
we'll beat that price. We always try to offer the lowest possible prices at
all times, so there is not a whole lot of room left to have sales on some
items. We will also beat any vendor's advertised sale prices as well.

That being said, we may offer a cam kit GP some time in the near future, but
there is no firm date set yet.

You guys kill me. Call ANYWHERE and get a complete LT1 cam kit for under $650 and I'd be amazed....and you'd still have to pull your heads and get the spring pockets machined. $589 is an amazing deal.

Let's see here....

www.racenet.net
Comp Cams 1.6 Rockers $249
Comp Cams XE Cam $246
Comp Cams 987 Springs $80
Spring Seats $28
Retainers $48
Locks $20
Guideplates $20
------------------------------
total $691 and you have to machine your heads

www.thunderracing.com
Comp Cams 1.6 Rockers $272
Comp Cams XE Cam $249
Crane 10308 spring kit $180
Guideplates $20
-------------------------------
total $721

Give those CMotorsports guys a break. They have the cheapest cam kit already, just get it. That's like asking for a GP on Top Ramen at the grocery store.....do you really think they make enough to sell them cheaper than 10 packs for $1.00?

Tell you what, I'll call them tomorrow, tell them to raise their regular price to $650, and then maybe you guys will be happy when they run a GP for $620. Problem solved.

No Need To Be An Azz Man!

Zdawg, WTF is your problem buddy? Nobody was giving CMotorsports a hard time. We were just seeing if we could get it for a cheaper price. Is there something wrong with trying to save money? I have to laugh because you're being such a d!ck about it. Yeah, why don't you go ahead and call them and tell them to raise the price? I'm sure they'll jump right on it. So if they were to do a GP on their cam kits and you were interested, you'd pay full price right?
