Speed Inc. Question....

I'm never able to call you guys while your open becuase I'm always at work, what is the most common Cam you guys talk about to customers. And what mods should be done bfore you tune it. I saw the listing below with the upset guy? Was he missing any mods he should have done before he should have CAM'ed his car? I want to do things right, rather than CAM my car and realize I should have don a bunch of other things. As of this moment I have SLP Headers, loudmouth, 4.10, lid, 85mm MAF..and whatever computer stuff you guys did. What else would be wise to consider. I'm also worried about mileage. I have about 70k miles on my LS1 now, when is it too late to CAM?....any info would be appreciated...

I'd email them Tom or Larry. They are very good about communicating with you via email.

The cam they like for a lot of applications is the 224 581/581 114 Comp Cam.

...I want to be a little more specific...I guess I am trying to find out... what 224 581/581 114 Comp Cam reads. What do the numbers represent.... What's too much and what's too little? When I say too much I don't want to get 1MPG, while I also want to rock on some Z06's. What do you guys think about stock engine with no cam and going strait to supercharger? What's wiser.....

Email Larry @ larry@ls1speed.com and he'll set you up. They did my car last year and it turned out pretty well

I would say that you should do heads at the same time and just figure in everything you need to get the air in and then out very fast.

BTW this is a GP section...

go to www.ls1howto.com and look up their cam install guide. The begining of the article explains the different numbers (lift, intake exhaust, lobe seperation angle) and what the different numbers will make for you.

Another ?: Isnt 224 581/581 on a 114 kinda mild?

...I don't know why someone moved my post to GP section when it's related to LS1........?...wierd, anyway, thanks for that website... I will talk to him some more, I always talk to Larry, he's always good at explaining, only problem is I ramble too much and I don't want to take up too much time. But yeah, I figure by posting here I can get a couple of people's feedback on it..... Thanks to all that replied.
