Any updates? I am in need of one RIGHT NOW and don't want to tow it all the way(2hrs) to Mufflex for a custom pipe and a $300 bill.

ok, if you look at the top pic on the right of the long tube headers on this website,,, http://www.jet-hot.com/pages/newheaders.html the end of the headers that connect to the y-pipe, looks like a 3" pipe, that just got cut straight off, then if you look at the pic of the y-pipe
www.ls1speed.com/pictures/1.jpg
www.ls1speed.com/pictures/2.jpg

the part where the y-pipe meets up w/ the header, the y-pipe has like a 3 bolt flange on it, how do you meet the two up?

ya, seriously guys, does the pipe fit or not?

FYI, the pics you're referring to on the Jet-Hot website are of their LS1-style headers, not the LT1 headers. The two inner primaries on LT1 headers are side-by-side where they meet the head flange and are therefore not evenly spaced across the flange. The 93-97 (LT1) Jet-Hot headers come with a 3-bolt flange already welded on them. I know this because I have a set sitting in my garage waiting on installation.

My Pics:

Based on the pictures of the LT1 Hooker LT y-pipe and the Jet-Hot LTs sitting in my garage...it should bolt up with minor adjustments. I would buy one and install it just to show this but I'm waiting on Jet-Hot to release their dual-cat y-pipe sometime this fall.

OK ONE last time. Go to page 3 and read my 3 posts from TOP to Bottom. The Y-Pipe is great! Work Fine. Fits fine. Sounds fine. Looks fine. Any other thing you wanna know about it, the answer is it works.

So how does it smell?

Thanks for letting us know what you think but the Mufflex pipe has a few people that say it fits perfectly while A BUNCH of others say that the fit is horrible. With all of the people that have been buying these Iwas hoping to get more than one opinion. Thanks again for your input though.

The Mufflex is 4" compared to the Hooker which is 3" But the Hooker is about $100 cheaper and fits better. The Hooker Y already has a dent in the pipe to clear the tranny crossmember. With the Mufflex, alot of people had to shave down the cross member to make it fit. I say why pay $100 more for something that you have to modify your car to use. I am perfectly happy with the Hooker Y.

Oh and since I have no cats, it stinks.
