Yes, that is correct. It deletes the A/C and moves the alternator down into that position while the power steering remains in the same position.

very cool
couple questions for ya tho....does this come with all the pulleys shown in the picture? does this require a different length belt to be used, if so is that belt included?
curious if this is a complete bolt in kit that requires the customer to purchase nothing else?

thanks
Steve

It consists of the bracket which is modified from a stock bracket (hence the need for a core charge), a bracket for the top mount of the alternator, as well as the bolt used to connect to the alternator.

Everything else as far as hardware is using the factory hardware.

There is actually a bit of debate about the belt issue, which I am looking into getting to the bottom of.

You warm weather guys are just reaching now, gimme a break! I didnt realize there were this many people interested that would even care about A/C, I can guarantee there is no way to get all that stuff and the AIR pump for sure, have you looked at a stock LT1 engine bay lately, haha. A/C and power steering and low alternator is even a very large stretch to make it easily installable by anybody.

Alright, well hypothetically, say I can come up with something for you AC guys, what would you be willing to pay for something like this based on the fact that there would be a lot of research and testing involved to design it, and also at least twice the build time, and more material?

And you guys complaining about the price (I figured something you get the same thing plus power steering as a similar product that costs $175 would be very fair!), what would be a fair price in your mind, considering about 25% of the cost is just parts, not counting shipping/packaging?

Thumbs up INterest

I would be willing to get a kit as long as I could keep my AC. My battery is going to go to the trunk and with the alt even farthe to the side I would have a bit more room to play with. Count me in. One last qusetion. How strong is this piece and could it be used in conjunction with a D-1SC blower?
