Group Purchase on Viganante Torque Converters?

Just as the title says, I was curious if anybody else was lloking into buying a 9.5 converter from Precision Industries, specifically, their Vigilante series converters.

I'm looking to buy a 2800 stall and a shift kit for my 700R4 and if I could save few dollars off the regular price through a group purchase, that would be great.

ThunderRacing, one of our sponsers, is asking $735 for just the torque converter itself (with a stall speed of your choice) or a stall + TransGo shift kit combo for $810. Those are their regular prices so any discount we get would be off those prices.

If anybody else is interested in getting something started, please post and let me know.

If we can get a few people seriously interested in doing this, I'll get in contact with some of our sponsors and see what they can do for us.

Any and all suggestions/recomendations are welcome.

Hope we can get this started.....

Sounds good. How much would the converter cost to those involved in the group purchase?

Also, could you do kinda of a "combo" deal on a converter and shift kit together?
Definetely going to need a shift kit after throwing in a high stall converter, otherwise the shifts are going to feel sloppy....

Let us know.

Okay so we have 4 potential buyers. I'm sure there will be even more once we find out what the actual G.P. price is.

"tbyrne" if you could let us know here, or via email what the price is, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Group Purchase on Viganante Torque Converters?

What we can do is offer you $50. off for 5 or more orders. Our regular retail is $699.99. You can add the Trans-Go for $109.99

The Precision Industries Vigilante Torque Converter increases performance by multiplying engine torque and will make a night and day difference in the way your car performs! Each 9 1/2" converter is made specifically for your application. The result will be lower 60 ft. times and up to a 5 tenth improvement in your 1/4 times (depends on the car and available traction). This is one of the best bolt-on mods that you can do to a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission!

These 9 1/2-inch torque converters are backed by a 2-year warranty. Included in our 2-year warranty is one free stall adjustment within the first two years from date of purchase. Precision Industries offers the free stall adjustment as a bonus to the customer realizing that most enthusiast usually continue to modify their vehicle as time and money allows. Due to the unique design and versatility of the 9 1/2-inch torque converter the need to purchase an additional torque converter in the future is practically eliminated. The average gain on the 9 1/2-inch torque converter series is 2 tenths on 60 foot and up top 3/4 of a second on overall elapsed times in the 1/4 mile. The average horsepower gain is up to 40-50 horsepower to the rear wheels due to the torque multiplication and increased stall speed.

Please include the following info with your Vigilante order:

Vehicle year, model, engine, gear ratio, shift RPMs, nitrous/supercharger?, trans brake and street/strip use.

Hope this helps!
