I'm not an exhaust expert by any means but I would think a good exhaust shop would be able to fab some cats up to the y-pipe some how. It may take some time to find a way to tuck them under there though.

If I have to get an ORP then I plan on at the very least having the stock cats gutted, have a pipe ran through the center then welded in to place on the ORP. I know it'll take some time to get it done but I believe if I go to the shop I went to when I had the exhaust off my '93 T/A welded up to the Camaro then I believe it can be done. I'm mainly worried about passing a visual inspection of a VA state cop happens to pull me over. I've only heard of them doing that one time before and that was a to a friend in his '94 Z... pulled him over for running just a Y-pipe off the I-pipe. The officer got under the car and checked to see if the cat was in place or not.

Does Flowtech make LT1 headers? I've only seen the LS1 version.

FlowTech has headers for the LS1 and some of the 3rd gens but nothing for the LT1 cars.

Here is something that might help all of you. We're offering 10% off all FlowTech and Hooker headers this week so there won't be any GP required for this savings. The FlowTech products don't cost to much so there isn't much $ in them. This will probably be the best way to go.

Hope this helps,
Tom

These headers aren't that expensive so they don't have as much $ in them for a larger order like some of the $1200. packages.
