ah, this is such a great thread. I remember when I would tell about my Elite experience... and how everyone would chime in and say... "oh you must have a gotten a bad pair... mine work excellent" Finally a thread where I'm finding I wasn't alone. No way 9 wires can Arc so bad out the box.

Were you able to contact them and get a replacement or better set?

I did and they just gave me a lie about sending me new ones.. that I waited for and never got, then I call them up and they change the story and tell me that their wires don't fail like that and want me to send them in for testing... meanwhile my car was mising and shooting sparks like a cap gun. Mine arced worse than yours did you could acutally see the bolts jump out and arc on the altinator brackets, valve covers... it was quite a show. I ended up taking the wires apart and just using the boots on my new wires, but who knows who manufacturers the actual wires themselves... because thye were less than decent quality.

Re: Elite Spark Plugs

Me niether....it has been a month now. I try to call them every day two or three times a day. I am extremely pissed off and either want my wires or my damn money back. This is THE WORST deal I have ever had online or at all for that matter. Thier customer service is horrible and I recommend to anyone that is thinking about these wires to go with a different company.

I also ordered some wires from them. They arrived in about 2 weeks time, this was back in November. Ever since then I have been getting a random missfire code and thought it would be something else since the wires were new. Took them to a dealer and they tested them and now I cant get in touch with anyone from Elite. This was the fist supporting vendor I had purchased from.

My thoughts exactly.. I had started two seperate threads over the course of my misfortunes with them and got exactly what you quoted above..lol
The funny thing is, as soon as I opened up the box when they arrived to my house and saw the "Made (cheaply) In China" style packaging, my heart sank; as I am sure most of the posters on this thread did as well.

What did you guys end up going with for your setup?
I think I am going to go with custom length magnecors routed underneath through the motor mounts...
What are your thoughts on spark plugs?

NGK and I'll never look abck again.
I brought Moroso Ultra 40's reason being my Moroso Blue Max's crumbled and I mean crumbled when I went to pull them off, but somehow they never arced or caused a miss. I was amazed with the quality of them in the condition they were in.

I don't want to get ripped off either. Call me jumpy, but I am leaning towards thinking that this company is a scam. I am now in my FIFTH week after paying with NO wires. I can not believe that this company is still in business. They have no customer service skills and no sense of urgency. I need these wires to complete my header install so I can get my car back on the road. It's not like I need my car to go to work or anything. This is the worst company to NOT do business with. Send me my damn wires that I payed hard earned money for.

I am starting to get worried as well. I'm on almost my second week waiting. I ordered the mounting brackets so I can switch from my radiator mount to a valce cover mount, and also ordered new wires as well. Now somthing told me, "i better check cz28.com to see if it's just me waiting for my order." And here I find this. This does not make me feel good at all. I have orderd my delteq system from them , and had a great experience and fast service. Same thing happened when I ordered new wires. And now this is my 3rd time ordering from them, and here I'm sitting here waiting and waiting.

I asked for a follow up on whats going on with my order, and he replied he would get back to me, but he didn't. So now I'm getting pissed. Im going to email him again right now, and tell him to either A. Tell me whats going on with my order.... or B. Refund me my payment.

I will keep you all posted. I like James, and I have been treated well in the past, but this is a big change in service.

Mike

Re: Elite Spark Plugs

I know Jim personally, but this really isn't like him....If you don't want his wires, MSD sells a super conductor set for LT1s that are universal, meaning you have to crimp the spark plug ends yourself. They are perfect to fabricate your own OVC wires. The part number is MSD-32129, now im not sure wether or not the set has the correct ends for both coil designs. I have this set on my car, but it's been like a year and I threw the box away so I don't remember.
