The Stage 2 kit is supposed to completely replace the optispark. Delteq has been talking about it for years.

What most don't realize is how difficult it is to create something like this. It not as easy had pulling parts off the self and throwing something together. Also this product has only been out for about a year know ... (so i am not sure were you got that we have been talking about this for years)

Re: Delteq GP

Hey, I never claimed it was easy, nor that I could do a better job. Delteq is a great product, there's no denying that. I'm simply saying that Delteq has been proclaiming the wonders of what stage 2 will do for quite some time now and most of us would like to see a finished product.

Have you seen the stage 2 setup in the glass tube in Area 51?

Re: Delteq GP

What about a kit minus the wires and plugs for a 94 LT1 Trans Am? What is the price on it and do you accept paypal? How fast can I get it too??

PS: I am actually looking to get the Stage 2 kit. Could you tell me when it comes out and when I can order it? How exactly will the Stage 1 be upgradeable to the Stage 2 and how much would that cost? The opti is a POS and doesn't deserve to be on motor any longer.

Re: Delteq GP

Hey Jim, this is Mike from Houston. I just recieved the Delteq this afternoon, and I can't tell you how happy I am. This has been the first time I could go full throttle with my supercharger without the opti missing on me. I would highly recommend it! I am looking forward to the stage 2. I'll keep waiting for some info as soon as you can give some out.

Re: Delteq GP

Hey, When is the New delteq coming out? At 148k miles on my original Opty I am begining to get that gut-feeling about having a new opty in. Car runs good excep for that strange.... but not so smooth Idle. Cant really tell what it is but its not silk smooth as it used to be.

I would hate to buy a new opty just to have the new delteq come out for sale... Any idea of a projected time?? early next year? 2 years? Never??

Just give me a hint. I know how it goes.

Marvin

What exactly would be the point? Delteq replaces the cap and rotor.

Please make a separate post about this if you like but please do not highjack this thread with anther product.
With that said … Why would you want to put a wear item back in when it can be replaced it with a Delteq system (which does not wear out like a cap and rotor or arch), which takes the high voltage out of the opti. Also for the money you would spend to replace the cap and rotor and to add a ignition box like a MSD 6a you can kill to birds with one stone again with a Delteq system which does not require any ignition help even extreme horse power levels like a supercharged car making 1200 hp
(how- about them apples )
