CMS Eagle Forged Rotating Assemblies Sale
Re: CMS Eagle Forged Rotating Assemblies Sale
You could cut your balancing cost by 50% if you go extrenal on the back half of the engine,IE 400 flex plate, and go internal on the front with a neutral dampner( 350 type ) Reason being how often do you change a flex plate? almost never once the engine is in the car. But you could spin a counterweighted stock type dampner and you would have to re-balance the engine to replace it.

Perfect, this could not have come at a better time. I was JUST about to purchase a rotating assembly and the 383 kit I was going to get was a ton more than your 396 price.
I will get in touch with you guys this afternoon.
Thanks
Matt

Re: CMS Eagle Forged Rotating Assemblies Sale
How much for a 383 kit but with stock bore pistons as my block is still in great shape and I dont want to bore it just yet. Balanced of course, and the engine will be blown around 6psi, with lt4 heads and probably a 50-100 shot down the road so im not sure what piston dish size to run to keep that compression ratio down to a safe # so a suggestion on your part would be appreciated. PM me also please.

Define stock bore for a 383.
Eagle doesn't have a Competition Forged Kit with a 4.000 bore piston.
Which means custom setup on the piston most likely.
They have a 3.875 stroke, but doing a dish on the 4.000 piston might be unwise without the extra material.
I will look into it and see what I can come up with.

Dave,
I just need info on a basic 383 rotating assembley...car is mainly a street car and I have goals of 400hp at the rear wheels. Car will see track use...maybe once a year with occassional autocrossing/road racing.
