a couple weeks ago i started a thread for this, and had about 15 people interested, but no vendors even bothered to give us a response.

I guess Summit will get my buisness too. Is for sure the better one to get the ceramic coated one or the polished vortec?

Even the ceramic coated one from summit is only about 90 bucks, vendors won't usually step in to do a GP on items like these because there's no profit margin, they can't make money if they lower the price anymore. If you get lucky one might step in, but most of them avoid low dollar items like the plague.

a smart vendor will know that even though they won't make a bunch of money on this particular product, customers remember who helped them get a deal, and will return to that vendor in the future when they need something else.
if anything, a vendor should want to step in and help out the group, just because they dont want us to all goto summit.

too late for me though, i already ordered from summit last week, got the ceramic one.

just a note for those with the SLP or AS&M style dual-tube air intake......i had to trim about 1cm off my intake in order for the elbow to fit (dont trim the elbow!). other than that, it looks and fits excellent.

Very nicely worded! I have noticed that the vendors sale prices are Summits everyday prices.

Yes, summit does have great prices. But i would much rather buy from the little guy. If walmart sells something for 2.99 and the little guys sells it for 3.25 id still buy it from the little guy. Summit could care less about us, but guys like thunder and cm motorsports do

Anyways, hopefully someone steps in by next week.

I never had any issues with summit. The only problem is that they're a little slow to embrace new things, so if you want that hot new stuff for your LT1/LS1, you'll probably have to buy it from somewhere else.
