WTB: motorcycle (can be wrecked)

I'm looking to buy a motorcycle local. I am looking for a sports bike any make/model. The bike can be wrecked or need work.

I'm not looking for anything new or very $$.

guy up here has a 84 yamaha 700 crotch rocket. ( i think, it's ~80's and a 700 fer sure)

good plastic, paint was redone lately (looks like Krylon - but shiny)

runs & drives good

he paid $1500 for it, and wants that out of it.
