the main road in the pics is US1, including where the firefighter is using a jetski in the middle of the road to run hoses.

So it looks like King Sail got a bit of water intrusion there, Was that from surge or what. I can't imagine 50 feet wide island holding that much rain water, lol. Hope everything gets back to normal for you guys soon. Wilma couldn't have come at a worse time. Will they have Fantasy Fest some other time now?

that was from the surge off the gulf...the ocean surge was high too, but not that high.
fantasy fest is postponed till Dec 7-10

pics from north of marathon
entire driveways were washed out, leaving cars isolated under houses. some of the houses had their entire foundations washed away.
it's crazy

I just cut and pasted from another board that I put these on. Enjoy.
These are from the 19th of Oct:
On our way down there we passed over the Florida Keys.
The eye was only about 4 miles wide, so going into it you could see the whole thing from the outside...nobody had ever seen one like this before.
Another picture from same position.
The small eye on radar.
This was taken on our way back.

These are from the 21st.
We are almost inside the eye, you can see the eye is a whole lot bigger today.

The little circles are where we marked the center of the storm during our flight. Cozumel was getting rocked!
