Where to get tire patched?

Like the subject says I called Discount tire and apparently they dont patch tires for free anymore. Does anyone else do it for free?

Yeah yeah, I know, I'm cheap

Stupid leaky tire ruined my plans to Auto-x this weekend...

The Discounts around here still do. The one off 436 & 50, I just got the tire patched on my 4Runner not too long ago.

if it's a straight hole, you can get the plug tool & a few plugs from a parts store for ~$7 and do it yourself.

for most patches, you take the tire off the rim, put patch on inside, and then remount & rebalance.

Humm, I called the one on South OBT this afternoon and they wanted $10 to do it. Maybe I'll try that store tommorow.

I had thought about that but I've never had any luck with plugs. I may try it anyways, the tire only has to last another month or two anyways.

Thanks for the offer but I know how to do it. I've plugged a few tires before on my old car

Worse comes to worse I'll drive up to my Dad's shop and have him patch it for me. I was just hoping to avoid the hour long drive to get there.

cool. good to know someone else is leading the ghetto-fabulous camaro life style. when we had 2 hi mile Z's, doing it yourself was the only way to keep it on the road. luck.
