Cool What's up with all the Orlando rice???

I was in Florida last week-drove all the way from Texas. I saw a lot of rice in Orlando (mostly around International Dr.) I only saw a couple of 4th Gen. F-Bods, but quite a few 3rd gens. The Tampa area had quite a few F-bods and a few Mustangs-only remember one ricer there. Had a great time there-I've been 5 times now.

I know what you mean. International Drive past 10:30 PM on any Sat = RICE

Whats even worse than the rice, is the owners who think they are "hard" and tough.

Some are Stupid and crazy. My friend raced local riced out sedan, when he had an SVT contour. He beat him, then the guy pulls out a gun and says "lets tryt hat one more time". Some people are actualy crazy. But 98% are punks who think they are some kind of tough ****. And a small margin actualy have mods to back their car's appearance up.

I have seen some nice civics arround here. Mid 13 second sleepers that look STOCK, except for an average sized exhaust. No stikcer, or spoilers, original paint, and interior besides a couple of gaugues. But I've only seen 2 or 3 cars like that.

there are soem quicker imports aroundhere, I raced a civic hatchback that smoked me like nothing. Looke to have run 14s by the way he smoked me. Possible H22a swap into a Dx hatch?

Ath the dragstrip on wed. I saw a riced out chrysler lebaron. Wing, faded paint stickers. the whole 9 yeards ran a 17.XX Had decals of car performance places on his car.

I mean it fine to make what ever you have faster, but this guy's car had a 3 foot tall wing, not sure nay type of wing would look god o a chysler lebaon convertable.

Woould have been cool if it was a insane 2.2L turbo but it wassn't.

yep, check out over by my building (B)... he's parked right outside.

actually it doesn't look too terrible, its a dark navy blue RS with racing stripes, but altezza's on anything make it look cheap.

Wink

There are a few "Ricers" around here that you gotta look out for. I did say few, and the other 99% can drive their car off a bridge.

yes

once at the track a guy in a very modified old-fashoned style civic hatchback kept up with me. he had a gutted interior and a turbo i believe. i had a passenger and a crappy RT. it was a very close race, and it was no way a slow civic.

I also remember seeing one guy in a Honda something or other with what appeared to be a fire extinguisher in the passenger side window. I know he wanted people to think it was nitrous, but I don't know if it was. He had the whole nine yards-huge wing, stickers, etc.

there are soem fast imports, jsut not some of these ricers.

I mean my car is probable the second slowest 4th gen you could ever buy. And a night at the track, as long as I am not lined up with v8s I beat 80% of the imports I go up agianst. With the speed demon of an underpowered motor in and overweight car.

I am all for tuning and modding whatever car you have, I jsut hate to see someone pay like $3k on overpriced parts, that do nothing.

Thing I thoguth funny at the track I noticed maybe 6 Civics all with the smae lookig dent on the fornt fenders. I am thinkgin to myself what the hell are the odds of all these guys hitting something in the same spot. Then I noticed it was form slamming the car to low and turnign the wheel and the tire hitting the fender.
