i am from Detroit but am down in tampa till march. whats to do around here? I am staying right next to TIA. 3 day weekend coming up and I want to get in some trouble. is there a car scene around here? whats the bar scene like?

 

there's ybor city..party central, i'm not down there, but i heard there's bunches of clubs and bars there if you're into that scene

 

yeah thats the only thing anyone has told me about yet. i hope it lives up to the hype

 

You need to check out Channel Side...there are some pretty fun bars in there. Go to Howl At The Moon, you'll definitely enjoy it...

Spongebob is right, YBOR CITY ROCKS, I went there in June of 2004, there are a ton of bars and clubs , great atmosphere, great time, But out of every thing in YBOR, make sure you check out COYOTE UGLY SALOON , it is awesome, hot women dancing on the bar!!!!! SWWWWWEEEEEETTTTT!!!

 

If your comming down or already here, there is the gasparilla parade during the day Jan 29 and there is the gasparilla night parade (Much more crazier!!) on Feb 5. It is like a mardi gras... beads, girls, and beer!! Nice Combo. The parade runs around Bay Shore Blvd. I think the day parade the 29 starts at like 1 or 2. I highly reccomend it!!

 

i have been here for a few weeks. i heard about the kids parade and saw the fireworks from afar last night. got more info on next weeks parade? is there a website or something? directions, time, etc
