I need to get my 95Z scanned for codes but cant find a shop with an OBD-1 scanner.
Car drives for like an hr than heats up and misfires badly.

when you say "heats up" do you mean overheats, or it coming up to operating temperature? if it's at operating temp check the temp sensor on the water pump. go to shoebox's web site - http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech1.html - on how to test it. if it's overheating then you need to figure out what is causing that - low coolant, air in the system, etc.

 

Its when the engine becomes heat soaked after driving for more than 1 hr. It doesnt over heat to clarify. Last night I drove about 1 hr down to Boca and an hr back, no problem. But after my return trip I started the car, made it to the end of the road and misfiring starting, bogging down, 500 or less rpm idle, ran like crap again.
Anyone in West Palm with a code reader? I was only driving down here to visit family and I've been stuck here for like 2 weeks!!

 

the icm may be getting heat soaked or the wires to it may be compromised, have it checked, that would be my next step - what kind of icm did you purchase? and is it 3 years old as well?
