Came across a very stock looking MR2 tonight and heard him revving at the light. Naturally I took the bait. We took off from the light and all I saw was tail lights til he was out of sight. Damn that car was fast. It was bone stock looking with a mildly louder than stock exhaust note. He handed me my a$$. He pulled away from me like I pull away from a stock 89 Civic DX.

He was in Orange City over the weekend.

I believe it. Stock the MR2 turbo's were fast and some are really tweeked. When I was out at Huntington Beach CA a few years age I stopped over at Rod Millen Motorsports. He was making CA emmission legal MR2 turbos with over 300 rwhp! That is a serious power to weight ratio.

yeah...i went to an import turbo meet in gainseville and saw some very plain looking mr2's that surprised me........one running 13flat, and another in the 12.7 region

I think this guy was much faster than 13s. I have raced 13 second cars and never got waxed like this. My car was running great and I shifted perfect everytime too. It was just plain fast.

There is a bad sumbitch here. Its red and has a ram air deal on the top of the roof and to the side a little. Functional I assume since the motor is in the rear..? Its gotta body kit also, but not sure what kind. Anyway... it almost loaped. More of a pulse. Sweetest sounding import I have ever heard
