visiting orlando fl for first time

I'm flying down to orlando this weekend and would like to check out the speedway in orlando. Will there be alot of f-bods there? Whats the best day to go?

Any thoughts on "touristy" things to do while there this weekend? It's just me any my girlfriend. We were thinking Universal Studios. Any other suggestions or tips?

If you like roller coasters and such... Islands of adventure is better then Uniuversal, but Universal does have alot of shows and move themed stuff...

Don't plan on OSW, there is usually a decent amount there but they can be very unreliable, and close at a whim, check the thread about OSW being closed...

They also raised their price to $15... not sure if thats for spectators though. It was $10 to race or watch...

Alot of imports at the track when I was there. Good F-body and Stang turnout. And a bunch of turbo Buicks, I was suprised to see that many.

Oh, and if you need car parts, i swear there is a parts store on every block. lol What's that chain called, Discount Auto Parts? They're everywhere!

If you like roller coasters, skip Orlando all together. Drive an hour and go to Busch Gardens in Tampa. That parks is miles of fun over any park in Orlando. Not as crowded, better rides, cheaper food and free beer samples.

OSW sucks. BTW it is still $10 to watch.

Other than that, there's at least 1 or 2 car gatherings pretty much every weekend. There are some big ones coming up soon, too.
