Update from Mass.

There's alot of you I haven't talked to at all since I left and I figured some of you might be wondering how things are going up here. If you're not wondering, well then don't read anymore

Anyway, the drive up here went great. We(Tiffany and I) drove 8 hours the first day, 10 the second and 5 the third. We actually got through Virginia a few hours before one of the last Sniper shootings that shut down I-95(which is what we were using the whole way up), so we got really lucky there. It wan't a bad drive at all, the Honda stuck it up pretty good and didn't break(until I got up here). I had to drive the whole way myself because Tiffany can't drive a stick, but it wasn't bad at all.

Since I've been up here things have been going great. It snowed 2 days after I got here, I guess that was a nice little "welcome to the freezing *** north". The high has been about 42 and the low has been in the mid to high 20's. I'll tell you right now, it sucks! I'm freezing!!!! But I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Work is going great, I'm assistant manager for Chick-Fil-A. I get along great with the operator, who is only 26 and is alot like me(into cars and rock and roll ). I'm getting paid pretty good and I should be getting a raise pretty soon already. The only thing that hasn't been so much fun is I've been working alot of hours. It's good for the paycheck, but I'm not used to working 10-12 hour days. It's not too bad, because i'm still learning everything I sit around and watch other people alot

And in case any of you are wondering Tiffany and I are doing great, we're both really happy that we're finally near each other. I'm having alot of fun hanging out with her friends up here, even though I do miss hanging out with the car guys back home(that would be whoever is reading this).

Well I hope everyone is doing good down there, hope all your car's are running well. One of these days I'm gonna get enough money saved up to get a nice car because this Honda hasn't been a whole lot of fun since i've been up here. It doesn't like to idle at all anymore so I've been left foot braking so I can keep my right foot on the gas to keep it from dying. I wish I knew more about carbs Oh well, hopefully I'll get it figured out soon, or I get enough money to get a new car soon

Well if anyone wants to talk to me you can occassionally catch me on IMer, my name is Camride (big suprise huh?). Have a good one everyone!

Snow? What is this "snow" stuff you speak of?

Glad to hear things are working out ok up there. The car situation sucks but on the bright side all that left foot braking will come in handly should you ever become a race driver.

Take Care!

Check the throttle cable and make sure it's still tight. I had that happen to me too and the throttle cable had vibrated loose. Also the outer housing of the cable is torn (up by the firewall). Just pull the cable away from the firewall and you'll see what I'm talking about. It doesn't usually hurt anything and actually helps when you're working under the hood. You can pull on the cable and the engine revs. I had a "mechanic" that took it upon himself to install that little mod for me. Any way, just make sure that it is seated correctly and that the throttle cable isn't loose btween the bracket and the carb.

Isn't that the stuff they sprinkle around the Christmas displays at the mall? I think it's made os plastic shavings or crumbled up styrofoam or something like that. I'm surprised to hear that they're decorating for the holidays so soon. Those northerners must really get into their holidays.

It's great to hear that you're doing good Mike. It sucks that I won't get to see you when I come home for Christmas though . And about those 10-12 hour days it could be worse. I'm working 15-18 hours a day M-F here. It really takes a lot out of you but makes partying that much better on the weekends . As much as I like Monterey I can't wait to get out of here. Being in Training Status really sucks and Korean school is insanely hard. Especially since they expect us to become fluent in only 15 months. I get about 150 new vocab words a week and if you think spelling in english can be hard... lol. Anyway, I'll give you a call this weekend sometime.

Hey Allen, you'll have a little trouble if you try to call my old number My new number is 978-729-7118. It's iffy that you'll actually catch me when I'm not busy, but you can try, and leave me a message if you don't get ahold of me. I've been pretty busy since I got here with work and everything. Hope everything is going well for you, I'll have to fly out there sometime to take a vacation and hang in cali with you. Take it easy and hopefully I'll talk to you soon.

Glad to hear the trip went ok and you both are doing well. Good luck with the job and keeping the Honda going. Try to stay warm.

Did you get the Honda's heat shield and intake hose in the mail yet? I had to bend part of the metal back so it would fit in the box. But I had to bend it to get it off past the O2 sensor anyway so it was already bent. Just bend it back. You'll see where I'm talking about now that you know to look for it.

I sent it out on Monday.

Neh, cho noon han guk mal reul mal hagi keh sum ni da. Muat mal hagi keh soyo?

Lesson #1:

Mek-ju reul sa rong heh soyo! (I love beer)

Oh nul oh hoo eh mek-ju reul mani mashi keh soyo. (tonight we will drink a lot of beer)

or replace "Oh nul oh hoo" with "Choo mal" to make it "this weekend" instead of "tonight".

Keg Stand reul mani ha ge sum ni da. (I will do many Keg Stands)

Chuck- Yeah, I got the heat shield yesterday. I don't know when I'll get a chance to put it on because it's freezing, but hopefully when I do it helps. Hopefully I can find some bolts that fit, shouldn't be too much of a problem though cause I have a ton of extra's. Thanks again for sending it to me.

Hey Han Seok, you having fun learning that language? It seems like there's twice as many words to say the same thing??? What is your email address anyway, I lost it when I moved and I'd like to be able to write you every once and a while since we probably won't ever be able to catch each other on the phone.
