UCF cops, speed traps on the back road
UCF cops, speed traps on the back road
i'm talking about the back road out of UCF that turns into lockwood... over by the new parking garage and it goes past the fire station.
every day this week i've seen cops at the end near the fire station, and the radar detector DEFINANTLY saved me the first day they were out there.
this morning however the UCF cop was standing inside the new parking garage with LASER... aiming down the road at people comming at him. there was NO WAY to see him until you stopped at the new stoplight. what he was doing was zapping people then if you were speeding he'd walk into the road when the light turned green and point at you to pull over. the only reason i didn't get caught was because i was behind another car... very lucky break.
so FYI, the UCF traffic pigs ... err I mean UCF's finest is out doing "speed enforcement" on the newly expanded back road out of UCF, going both in and out of UCF. radar detector won't catch the guy with the laser...

haha I was about to post the same thing... I was on campus the other day and a cop was on our 3rd floor, parking spot with a gun pointed down on the road. (BTW I left the tire marks in the garage
)
I also saw some motorcycle cops on the side with a radio, and someone radiosed them and they took off after someone, and a cop car has been chilling around the firestation.
Sucks that is a fun road to speed on.

I just spoke to a friend of mine who is a UCF cop. He says the road that your talking about they have been catching people doing crazy speeds of 65 or more. So they will be there for a while to come. He also has been spending alot of time around the parking lot at the front office. So keep your eyes open.

hehe...
that road is so tempting....
the pavement(old pavement) is nice and grips decent for me, only thing I worry about is if I really lose it might go spining into that lake, once you hit the grass you jsut slide

I go out there and ride with him once a month or so. Your right, there are some pretty wild speeds well above 65 goin on.
But there is a standing rule when I am with him. NO F BODY GETS A TICKET.

i've noticed the majority of them have AIM running on their laptops in their cars... you got any screen names? they'd be interesting to chat with ... ask where the speed traps are before i go home from work
It does seems like the UCF cops havea rent a cop mentality... Once I sat to long at a stop sign and he pulled me over and gave me **** for 10 minutes.. His excuse he thought I fell asleep atthe wheel.. I guess turning the dome light on and looking around can give that impression.....
Overall they ahvea job to do and I commend them for it, but it is those stupid things like what I said people never forget.
